In this section you can find the general information about our organization. Our programs are interesting for foreign student who want to obtain an internship or volunteer position in Latin America. Latin Horizons offers a complete and affordable Latin experience with intermediation services on various study fields. At the moment we have internship- and volunteer programs in various areas in Latin America, Ecuador, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina and Costa Rica. Besides, you can combine traveling with studying Spanish while tasting the true Latin spirit!

Who we are?

Latin Horizons is an international organization which helps foreign students find internships and volunteer positions in Latin America. Students can contact us directly for placements in a wide range of companies and organizations. Besides, we work in cooperation with various universities and partner organizations.  Latin Horizons is able to fulfill the needs of students and exchange organizations because it has an international staff. We know what students want and what the organizations expect!

What should I take care off?

When you arrive we take care of airport pickup, housing and Spanish lessons, which are all included in our internship and volunteer programs. The housing includes options such as: Host family, furnished apartment, hostel, student’s apartment, Independent living, other. During your stay you can additionally participate in tours and adventures around Ecuador in your spare time. Participants should only worry about their plane ticket, vaccinations and visa (when necessary)

How to apply?

Once you make a firm decision about which program you wish to apply to, you may begin the application process. We ask that you apply 2 months in advance. Placement will be on a first come, first serve basis.

• Submit the application package, either by priority/express mail or fax.

Programs:

• Internship program: From 4 to 24 weeks. Combined with 4 weeks intensive one to one Spanish lessons. Host families, residence or apartment accommodation. Placements in professional related fields. Full-time local representative in Ecuador.

• Volunteer program: From 4 to 24 weeks. Combined with 2 weeks intensive one to one Spanish lessons. Host families, residence or apartment accommodation. Placements in community service related fields. Full-time local representative in Ecuador.

• Travel & Study: From 2 to 48 weeks. Intensive one to one Spanish lessons from 20-25-30 lessons per week combined with weekend adventure trips. Host family, residence or apartment accommodation. Full-time local representative in Ecuador.
